The 200C miniPlD (mini Photo-lonization Detector)combines small size, fast response and highsensitivity in an easy-to-use package.
The miniPlD is the only instrument capable ofvalidating lab-built and commercially availableolfactometers. lt has been used successfully fornumerous olfaction studies involving mice, ratsdogs, Drosophila, moths, mosquitos, ants andhumans. The sensor has a true frequency responseof 330 Hz with a rise time of 1 msec, detection limitof 50 ppb (parts per billion) propylene in air and thefull-scale measurement range of 625 ppm.
The sensor head contains the detection cellelectrometer, UV lamp and lamp control circuitry
The easy-to-use controller has switches forinstrument power and pump speed with a controlfor setting the zero. LEDs provide indication ofpower, and lamp status. A front-panel display!provides fast response indication of the outputsignal from the sensor with an LED indicator foroff-scale signals.
Simply plug it in, turn it on and quantify odorswith sub-millisecond response time.
