| description: |
By combing in situ,in vivo, and in vitro muscle tests using one simple platform researcher are able to capture a complete picture of muscle physiology in rodent subjects. The test systems come with either a mouse or rat apparatus, complete with temperature |
A versatile system: capable of flexibly applying in vivo, in situ, and in vitro experimental techniques to accurately measure muscle performance in rodents.
The 1300A and 1305A are high-performance and high-precision testing systems that enable researchers to easily measure muscle tension and a variety of mechanical properties.
Technical Principle
By integrating in vivo, in situ, and in vitro muscle testing techniques into a single system, researchers can capture a comprehensive picture of rodent muscle physiology. The testing system is equipped with experimental platform devices designed for mice or rats (compatible with temperature controllers), and can accommodate different clamps to secure the animal's body and hindlimbs on the platform, ensuring stability throughout the experiment.
Additionally, through a simple switch, the animal platform can be replaced with a 25 ml transverse bath to conduct in vitro muscle testing experiments. The system also incorporates Aurora Scientific’s flagship dual-mode muscle lever system—a dual-mode transducer that not only measures force and length, but also has the capability to control force and length.
Based on the powerful capabilities of the dual-mode transducer, only one connection point is required between the muscle sample and the transducer to simultaneously perform force and length measurements and control. This greatly reduces experimental operation time and significantly increases data throughput. In addition, the system is equipped with a high-power biphasic stimulator and corresponding electrodes.
In terms of data acquisition, the control and analysis software comes pre-installed on the host computer. Experimental setup, data collection, and data analysis can all be completed within minutes using our control and analysis software (DMC/DMA). Parameters such as resting length, resting force, stimulation settings, and experimental protocols can all be configured via the DMC software. The desktop interface also includes an expandable library of standard experimental protocols, including: twitch tension, tetanic contraction tension, fatigue, force-frequency, force-velocity, stiffness, and work loop protocols.
