| description: |
CellenONE is a newly launched automatic sorting system for single-cell sequencing and single-cell cloning from France’s Enhancing Life company. Compared with common traditional flow cytometer sorters on the market, CellenONE can handle any small sample si |
About cellenONE®
cellenONE® is a unique platform that combines high-precision visual single-cell sorting with nanoliter reagent dispensing, enabling the miniaturization of a range of single-cell omics workflows and the automation of cell line development with low-level clonal growth.
cellenONE® Applications
Single-cell sorting and isolation
Miniaturized single-cell omics workflows
Automated cell line development
Handles any sample (from 1 to 50,000 cells)
Advantages
Precision
Up to 100% single-cell accuracy (no doublets, no empty wells, no debris)
Viability
Ultra-gentle dispensing technology ensures top-tier clonal outcomes
Temperature control improves viability of fragile cells (e.g., iPSCs)
Image-based Technology
User-defined sorting parameters (morphology)
Enhanced assurance of monoclonality — fully documented through automatically generated PDF reports
Instant visual feedback on sample preparation (e.g., tissue dissociation quality)
Links phenotype and morphology information with omics data
Ideal for Rare Cells
Compatible with samples containing very few cells (e.g., spheroids, organoids, microbes)
Any sample volume as low as 5 µL (no dead volume)
Collection tube retrieves all unsorted cells for reprocessing and maximal recovery of precious samples
Versatility
Any cell type, from microbial cells to large cells (2–80 µm)
Compatible with any standard well plates (e.g., 96-, 384-, 1536-well) or custom microplates
Miniaturization
High-precision reagent dispensing from pL to nL
Compatible with various reagents (aqueous and organic)
Temperature, humidity, and dew point control to prevent evaporation
Time and Cost Savings
High throughput: 96 cells sorted in 4 minutes
Workflow automation and miniaturization reduce labor and reagent consumption
Saves weeks compared to traditional cell line development workflows (e.g., limiting dilution)
Technical Features
Piezo-acoustic droplet generation for ultra-gentle cell isolation
Image-based multi-parameter detection and sorting
Sorting Process
Cell suspension is loaded into a glass capillary
The capillary tip is placed in front of the optical system
The capillary tip is divided into three zones:
Observation zone = for observing cells entering the camera imaging area
Ejection zone = corresponding to the volume of the next droplet generated
Safe zone = a buffer area considering possible cell sedimentation
If the next droplet contains only one cell that meets the user-defined parameters, it is dispensed into the target well plate. Otherwise, it is dispensed into the recovery tube for reprocessing.
Applications
Single-cell omics
Pre-analytical separation and sample preparation
Cell line development
Automated cloning
