    Basic Information
The unique measurement technology was developed at ETH Zürich and measures an effect known as Raman optical activity (ROA), which has been widely studied and shown by researchers to have enormous potential for the measurement of pharmaceuticals. The wide adaptation of this measurement has been impossible before now because of the complexity of the instrumentation and the requirement for expert users. ENANTIOS’ patent-pending technology enables the full exploitation of this measurement in industry for the first time. Enantios’ chiral optical analysis technology (ROA, Raman Optical Activity) is a high-precision, non-destructive method for determining the chiral structure and stereochemical configuration of molecules. This technique allows direct analysis in solution without the need for crystallization or HPLC, making it suitable for small-molecule drugs, proteins, biosimilars, vaccine VLPs, and chiral catalysts. ROA provides detailed information on secondary and tertiary structures, monitors structural integrity and stability, and tracks chiral changes during reactions, offering reliable data for drug development, quality control, vaccine validation, and catalyst optimization.
    Product Advantages:
    Chiral Small Molecules:
    Absolute configuration
    Isomeric/enantiomeric excess
    No crystallization or HPLC required!
    Biologics:
    Secondary and tertiary structural motifs
    Structural stability and degradation testing
    Measurement in solution!
RAMAN VS. ROA:Raman scattering identifies the molecular fingerprint- but is blind to chirality (handedness). ROA can differentiate between enantiomers, determine enantiomeric excess and look at chiral structures of proteins and biologics.

    Main Product Features:

    Application Areas:
Chiral drug R&D and quality control: Used to determine the absolute configuration and enantiomeric excess of chiral drugs such as ibuprofen, without crystallization or High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), ensuring drug safety and efficacy.
Structural analysis of protein-based biologics: Directly analyzes the secondary and tertiary structural motifs of monoclonal antibodies, recombinant insulin, etc., in solution, and monitors their structural integrity and stability.
VLP structure verification in vaccines: Analyzes the chiral structure and assembly status of Virus-Like Particles (VLPs) contained in HPV vaccines, etc., without damaging samples, to ensure vaccine immunogenicity.
Chiral catalyst performance evaluation: Monitors the chiral structure changes of chiral catalysts such as organometallic complexes during reactions, determines the enantiomeric excess of products, and optimizes synthesis parameters.
Structural consistency evaluation of biosimilars and originator drugs: Compares and analyzes the chiral structural motifs of biosimilars and originator drugs, providing data support for their clinical approval and quality control.
