Italian Sordina pre-clinical FLASH-RT radiotherapy platform, the world first commercial Flash-RT research equipment. We are using a small electron linear accelerator, the equipment acceleration is from 0.001-10000 Gy/s, each pulse can reach 0.005-40Gy/p, the frequency is 1-400Hz, real-time monitoring and adjustable energy output can be achieved, and the irradiation diameter is from 1CM- 10CM.
At present, FLASHRT radiotherapy, which is widely discussed, refers to the radiation dose given to words in a very short time, so as to obtain a very high radiation dose rate (usually, the average dose rate is more than 100Gy/s in 50ms. ), it also needs to emit continuous pulsed rays in a very short time. This method of applying extremely high radiation dose rate to biological cells or tissues is called flash radiotherapy, which can greatly reduce damage to normal tissues while ensuring the efficacy of tumor treatment. Its advantages have been confirmed in different pre-clinical application studies, and the first FLASH-RT human treatment has also been successfully carried out.
